Product questions
Which product should my business start with?
Most start with a 1300 number on the entry plan — one national number at local-call cost to customers. Choose 1800 instead if the free-call promise matters more than the run rate.
Do you offer 13 numbers?
No — our inbound numbers are the 1300 and 1800 ranges. The shorter 13 format carries a separate annual government levy and suits high-volume national advertisers; the ranges are explained in our numbering guide.
Can I port an existing number onto these products?
Yes — existing 1300, 1800 and landline numbers can be ported onto your chosen plan, keeping the digits your customers already know.
What do the products cost?
Published on the pricing page: plan fees from $10 a month for 1300 and 1800, per-second call rates by plan, phonewords from $40, call tracking from $2, SIP termination at $8 with 4c a minute calls, and hosted PBX from $5.
The Simple 1300 Numbers catalogue covers the life of a business number: acquire it, route it, measure it, and — as you grow — build a phone system behind it. Every product has a published price, and every product works without new hardware.
The number products
- 1300 numbers — the shared-cost standard: callers pay up to the local call rate, your business pays the rest, plans from $10 a month. The workhorse for most businesses; the detail is at 1300 numbers.
- 1800 numbers — the toll-free format: callers pay nothing from fixed lines, your business funds every call, same plan ladder. Positioning for support and sales lines; see 1800 numbers.
- Phonewords and smart numbers — memorable digits that spell your brand, from $40 a month as a premium tier, sourced by auction when scarce; see phonewords.
- Porting — bring an existing 1300, 1800 or landline number across onto your chosen plan rather than replacing the digits your customers know.
The measurement product
- Call tracking — a tracking number per marketing channel from $2 a month, with call volume reporting and recording included; the workflow is at call tracking.
The system products
- SIP termination — your 1300 or 1800 calls delivered directly to your own SIP-capable phone system: $8 a month with calls at 4c a minute.
- Hosted PBX — the cloud phone system add-on, from $5 a month for light use, with an inclusive Business edition at $29; see hosted PBX.
On the 13-format question that often arrives here: we do not offer 13 numbers — our range is 1300 and 1800. The shorter 13 format carries a separate annual government levy and is explained, along with the whole structure, in the 1300 numbering system.
