Call tracking software questions
What does call tracking software do?
It allocates a distinct tracking number to each campaign or medium, counts the calls to each, reports the volumes by source over time, and records calls so quality can be reviewed alongside quantity.
How does it work technically?
At the network level: each number routes and counts independently, so calls attribute to the source that displayed the number. No apps on your phones and no scripts on your site in the per-number model.
What does it not do?
Per-number tracking does not identify the keyword a visitor searched — that is dynamic number insertion, which we do not sell. It also measures calls, not SMS or form fills.
What does it cost?
Plans from $5 a month per tracking number, with call data charged per minute and recording included. Numbers are available from more than 40 regions. Current tiers are on the pricing page.
Call tracking software exists to answer a question your web analytics cannot: which marketing makes the phone ring? Every other channel self-reports — clicks, opens, impressions — while the phone call, often the most valuable enquiry a business receives, arrives unattributed. Call tracking software fixes that with one mechanism: a distinct phone number per campaign, counted at the network.
What the software does
- Allocates numbers. A tracking number for each campaign, client or medium — 1300, 1800 or regional digits from more than 40 areas.
- Counts and attributes. Calls to each number are logged against its campaign — timestamped, recorded, and free of guesswork.
- Reports. Volumes per campaign over comparable periods: the budget conversation with numbers attached.
- Records. The audio behind the counts, for lead quality and call handling review.
The model is per-number attribution, stated plainly: it tells you which medium produced the call, not which keyword the visitor searched — that deeper model, dynamic number insertion, is a separate product category we do not sell, compared in call tracking DNI.
What it costs
Tracking plans start at $5 a month per number, with call data charged per minute and recording included. Three campaign numbers cover most small businesses, and the cost scales with the measurement you need. Current tiers are on the pricing page.
